This year’s Science in the City festival in Valletta was a vibrant showcase of the intertwined worlds of science, technology, and the arts.

Held on September 27-28, the event, themed around Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (J.E.D.I.), attracted over 33,000 visitors, a testament to its growing importance and appeal within the community and beyond.

Our participation at the event was an incredible opportunity to engage with the public and share our work and visions. The enthusiasm and curiosity from visitors were palpable, with many stopping by our stand to learn more about our projects and share their thoughts. This public engagement is crucial as it helps bridge the gap between researchers and the community, fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation of the sciences.

We were thrilled to be part of an event that not only celebrated scientific inquiry and artistic expression but also emphasized the importance of inclusion and community in the pursuit of knowledge and innovation. The festival’s reach and impact are a credit to the organizing consortium led by the University of Malta and the Malta Chamber of Scientists, among others, who did an outstanding job of bringing this event to life

A heartfelt thank you goes out to all our collaborators for this event, including the faculty of engineering and everyone who contributed to making this experience memorable and successful.
Events like these underscore the vital role of collaboration and community in the advancement of science and technology.

We look forward to continuing these engagements and hope to see even more of you at future events!
