This year’s Science in the City festival in Valletta was a vibrant showcase of the intertwined worlds of science, technology, and the arts.
Held on September 27-28, the event, themed around Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (J.E.D.I.), attracted over 33,000 visitors. This event was a testament to its growing importance and appeal within the community and beyond.
Our participation was an incredible opportunity to engage with the public and share our work. The enthusiasm from visitors were noticeable, with many stopping by our stand. This public engagement helps bridge the gap between researchers and the community, fostering a deeperappreciation of the sciences.
We were thrilled to be part of an event that celebrated scientific inquiry, but also emphasised the importance of the community in the pursuit of knowledge. The festival’s reach are a credit to the organising consortium led by the University of Malta and the Malta Chamber of Scientists, who did an outstanding job of bringing this event to life
A heartfelt thank you goes out to all our collaborators for this event, including the Faculty of Engineering and everyone who contributed to making this experience memorable and successful.
We look forward to more of these events and hope to see even more !
